From Looney Pyramid Games Wiki

Hi, I'm Kat Costa. You can find me on BGG under the username kataclysm. I discovered pyramid games around 2012 and I liked the idea of playing many games from one set of materials. Years later, it has proved an enduring hobby for me. My favorite pyramid games tend to be combinatorial games with lots of strategy and little luck.

Games I've Designed[edit | edit source]

Xero-G (2019)
Green Hijinks (2016)
Override (2019)
Nickel (2020)
Depict (2021) — this one is still in development

Recommended Games[edit | edit source]

Have you tried these? They're good!
Apophis — A fun cooperative game about destroying an asteroid in real-time.
Ricochet Pyramids — A real-time puzzle game with tons of replay value
Lockpick — A solitaire card game with a mancala element to it: try to make sets to pick pyramid-locks.
Zark City — Pyramids + poker cards = fun
Binary Homeworlds — A deep and satisfying game of perfect information and wormholes.
Volcano — A colorful, thinky strategy game.
IceSickle — A two-minute zero-luck strategy game
Imperial Shuffle — A 2-player game played on two 4x4 boards where you extinguish or resurrect your opponent's pieces from afar
Pikemen — It's like chess, but better.
Extinction — It's also like chess but better.
Turning Points — There's basically only one rule, but you will be surprised at the end-result when there are sufficient pieces on the board.

Games I Want to Try[edit | edit source]

  • Attack of the Mids — a co-op game about saving the town from slimes and collecting samples for science. The only randomness is for A.I./bad events after the players' turns.
  • Treehouse Snakes and Ladders — if Snakes and Ladders had actual decisions and tactics
  • Houses of Thoth — Erect high towers of pyramids and Tarot cards
  • Solomids — A solo puzzle game using 3 rainbow stashes and a 10x5 board
  • Icehouse Plant Game — Looks like a more fun version of Photosynthesis
  • Infiltrate — Build an army of 15 pips' worth of pyramids and try to get one piece to the other side of the chessboard.
  • Autumn Ash — pyramids on a chessboard change color and grow leaves
  • Deception — An abstract game played on a chessboard that uses colorful pyramids hidden beneath opaque pyramids.
  • Amoeba — You use poker chips as the board, adding to make the board larger as you go.
  • Dragonflock — Zero luck. You are dragons flying over mountains and trying to destroy the other player's towns.
